Trident Resources Corp was supposed to become part of the Bottom-Fish Collection a few weeks ago when the stock was trading around $0.80, but the company put out some drill results on November 12, 2025 for its Contact Lake project in Saskatchewan and the stock doubled overnight. The results were not new information because the holes were confirmation holes from past work by Cameco while it operated the former Contact Lake Mine. There are some deeper down-dip holes pending which would be important new information about an orogenic vein system never tested deeper than 300 m. The only missing piece really was that after a three way merger and rollback earlier this year was that visible insiders owned only 3.4% of the 43 million fully diluted. On all the other major criteria such as people, working capital and story Trident scores high marks, all of which over-rode the structural missing piece when the news release kicked off the Trident story cycle.

You may wonder why I am adding a $2 stock to the Favorites Collection after it has doubled, but there is a two-fold explanation. First, there are only 42.7 million shares fully diluted, which means that the 100% owned projects are carrying an implied project value of only $83 million at $1.94, which is fair speculative value for a target outcome of CAD $1 billion for a project already at the infill drilling stage with an indicated an inferred open-pittable resource of about 2 million ounces spread among 4 deposits within the Contact Lake project. But more importantly, Trident symbolizes what the awakening resource junior bull market is all about.
